Command: password

  Format: password <password>

Allows a subscriber to authenticate herself/himself after selecting a list in
order to perform list management functions when a password has been set for
the list.

Normally, listmanager grants access to you if your mail address is on the list,
and grants owner permissions if you are also marked as an owner. If a list
subscriber sets a password on the subscription to the list, you must also send
this command with the correct password in order to get your access. You are
otherwise treated as if you were not a list subscriber.

Your password, if set, is also required for any modifications to your
subscription made via the web interface, or unsubscription via the web
interface.

Also, if a password is set for you on the list and the list is either
private or moderated, you must use the "authorization" keyword at the top of
the submission, followed by the password, for the submission to be processed.
Failure to do so will cause listmanager to act as if the list came from
someone not authorized to post to the list, and will forward the submission
to the list owners for their approval.
