Command: segments

  Format: segments <number>

Sets the number of segments in which the selected list should be separated
for distribution. This can be used to speed distribution of a submission
or digest, taking advangage of the concurrency of the underlying operating
system. Segments will be approximately equal in size, but are not guaranteed
to contain the same number of entries per segment.

Values of 0 and 1 are synonymous. Values of 2 or more cause the segmentation
to take place. Each segment is affixed with an X-List-Segment: header
to indicate what segment a particular delivery came from.

Changing the segments setting also implicitly executes the "update"
and "newaliases" commands.

This command is only available via the command line interface; this value
may not be adjusted by list owners (yet) due to its possible significant
impact on the host machine's performance.
